*500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance Registry, with over 5000 hours of training.

*Certified Group Fitness Instructor through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

*Trained Prenatal & Postnatal Fitness Consultant through the American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA).

*CPR and AED Certified through the American Heart Association.

*Over 26 years teaching experience. 

Yoga styles include Vinyasa, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Power, Restorative, Pre & Post Natal, Seniors, Kids, & Teens.  All levels welcome in any class, as Melinda shows many variations of a pose for modifications and challenges.

She is available for Private & Group Yoga Classes, Yoga Parties, Workshops, and Seminars in the Brookville, Englewood, Dayton, and Centerville areas.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

YOGA/SOULAR POWERED YOGA/POWER YOGA
A class that takes a little from other Yoga styles and fuses them together into a unique Yoga approach. Yoga techniques includes Kundalini, Iyengar, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga asanas and methods. You will practice both classical and creatively-adapted sun salutations, standing and seated postures, balance poses, backbends, inversions, while focusing on movement, alignment, and the yogic breath. This class challenges strength & balance, improves flexibility, and will leave you feeling energetic and rejuvenated. All levels welcome with variations and modifications shown. Needed: Yoga mat.


BODY BAR BLAST:
Using the weighted Body Bar (3,6,or 9 lbs), this class incorporates aerobic and anarobic fitness, alternating cardio with strengthening moves. An invigorating workout, designed to kick your fitness level up a notch! All levels welcome, but may be strenuous for new members. Please modify when needed.


XTREME FITNESS:
A hardcore, basic-training type of workout that combines and challenges strength and cardio fitness in one class. With the use of Step, Yoga, Kickboxing, Weights, Bands, & Plyometrics, this class uses the Interval Training Method of the 3 to 2 ratio; 3 minutes of Cardio moves to 2 minutes of Strengthening & Conditioning. This class will definitely work it! 60 minutes. All levels welcome with variations and modifications shown.


BELLYDANCE:
Intro moves for Bellydancing include warmup, stretching, strengthening, isolations, hip circles & shimmies. An "ALL-OVER" body workout! Low-impact. Egyptian Cabaret and American Cabaret Bellydance style. 60 minutes. Any level welcome! Veils are supplied, hip scarf optional.
